What we say...

The new DS-ADAPT drivers from Cobra aim to enhance fit, performance, and provide golfers with the ultimate in speed.

Cobra say that their DS-ADAPT family is the longest, most fittable range that they’ve ever produced, and once you get your head around the concept of their groundbreaking FUTUREFIT33 technology, it’s easy to see why it’s suitable for practically every golfer. You can read more about FUTUREFIT33 in detail in our handy everything you need to know guide

The DS-ADAPT LS driver is tailored for golfers with faster swing speeds who want to reduce spin and gain greater control over shot shaping. Its raised crown design at the heel minimizes drag during the downswing, boosting clubhead speed to help players maximize distance without losing precision. The compact head enhances the driver’s aerodynamics, making it easier to maneuver and promoting a cleaner impact, perfect for those who need to control ball flight with higher swing speeds.

External weights provide valuable adjustability, allowing golfers to tweak their setup for specific ball flights. Whether adjusting for a neutral, fade-biased, or spin-reducing shot, the flexible weighting system lets you fine-tune performance to match your swing. This customizable approach ensures the DS-ADAPT LS driver fits your unique mechanics, giving you the confidence to optimize distance, control, and shot-shaping potential.

The DS-ADAPT range with the incredible FUTUREFIT33 are sure to become some of the best drivers of 2025.

The LS model aims to enhance fit, performance, and provide golfers with a low-spin option

Pros

  • Sleek, compact design
  • Spin-reducing performance
  • Shot-shaping control
  • Advance adjustability

Cons

  • Less forgiving for slower swing speeds

Looks, Sound and Feedback: 4.5/5

The DS-ADAPT LS driver boasts a sleek, 445cc compact head that clearly inspires confidence for golfers who appreciate a streamlined design. Its compact profile was a little on the small side for me visually, but it’s great for players seeking control over aesthetics. At impact, the DS-ADAPT LS delivers a crisp sound, and the club face provided instant feedback for me, allowing me to identify which shots came out of the center of the club face by feel alone.

Distance and Spin: 4/5

Engineered for explosive distance, the DS-ADAPT LS minimizes spin with its low-forward CG placement, helping players with faster swing speeds achieve a piercing ball flight. Even though my swing isn’t fast, I did see the benefit of the lower CG placement as shots I hit with this head were much more penetrating than those I hit with the DS-ADAPT MAX-K, my preferred model. The reduced spin results in longer roll-out on drives, which maximizes carry and total distance. This driver is designed to keep shots consistent, offering trajectories that cut through the wind while maintaining precision.

Forgiveness and Control: 4/5

While its compact head prioritizes workability and precision, the DS-ADAPT LS still provides a degree of forgiveness for players with fast swings. Although my swing wasn’t fast enough to see the real rewards of this, it’s easy to see how it would benefit the better player. The customizable weight ports allow golfers to fine-tune the center of gravity, offering added control for shaping shots. I could see the difference in my shot shape here when the weights were moved around. The LS delivers low-launching, accurate drives that give skilled players the ability to create fades, draws, or straight shots with consistency and control in various conditions.

Cobra's FUTUREFIT33 Hosel

Technology and Components: 5/5

The DS-ADAPT LS driver has a low-forward CG configuration and aerodynamic heel design that reduces drag, enhancing clubhead speed and enabling energy transfer at impact. The FUTUREFIT33 hosel introduces industry-leading adjustability with 33 loft and lie combinations, allowing players to fine-tune their trajectory and optimize ball flight to match their swing dynamics. Paired with multiple weight ports, golfers can further personalize the center of gravity to fine-tune spin and shot shape.

Alternative Options

If you’re looking for a driver that will offset a slice then consider the new Cobra DS-ADAPT MAX-D with draw-biased weighting that will actively counteract the sidespin that leads to slicing, producing straighter, longer ball flights.
