What we say...
Cobra’s DS-ADAPT drivers are designed to offer an ideal fit, improved performance, and explosive speed for players of all levels.
Cobra say that their DS-ADAPT family is the longest, most fittable range that they’ve ever produced, and once you get your head around the concept of their groundbreaking FUTUREFIT33 technology, it’s easy to see why it’s suitable for practically every golfer. You can read more about FUTUREFIT33 in detail in our handy everything you need to know guide.
The DS-ADAPT MAX-K driver is crafted for golfers who value forgiveness and consistent performance. Boasting the highest MOI in Cobra’s new driver lineup, this driver ensures exceptional stability, minimizing twisting on off-center hits for more accurate and forgiving results. The high MOI design helps deliver a straighter, more controlled ball flight, boosting confidence both at address and throughout the swing.
Equipped with a fixed rear weight, the driver further enhances forgiveness by improving ball flight consistency, even when contact is off-center. This ensures that mishits still provide optimal distance and accuracy. With its 460cc oversized head, the DS-ADAPT MAX-K offers a generous sweet spot, ensuring consistent performance across the entire face. These advanced features make this driver an excellent option for golfers looking for maximum forgiveness and reliability in their game.
The DS-ADAPT range with the incredible FUTUREFIT33 are sure to become some of the best drivers of 2025.

Looks, Sound and Feedback: 4.5/5
The DS-ADAPT MAX-K driver boasts a classic oversized 460cc profile, giving it a strong, reassuring presence at address. The sleek design and deep face combined with a lightweight carbon crown and sole, create a look that I really liked at address. The driver offers a stable, confidence-boosting feel during the swing, with a solid, satisfying sound at impact that resonates across the face, especially on center hits. Mishits still provide a muted, but positive feedback, ensuring I remained connected to the shot.
Distance and Spin: 4.5/5
The MAX-K driver provided impressive distance for me, thanks to its rearward center of gravity that promoted a high launch with reduced spin numbers compared to the other models I hit. The design of the clubhead here really maximizes carry distance and achieves towering ball flights, which meant I could increase the distance on shots with my current driver without sacrificing control. The combination of reduced spin and optimized launch conditions ensured I really got the most out of the club.
Forgiveness and Control: 4.5/5
With the highest possible MOI, the MAX-K is extremely forgiving, minimizing twisting on off-center strikes to retain both speed and direction on the golf ball. This makes the driver perfect for golfers who struggle with consistency or those with moderate swing speeds. My swing speed is faster than the average female golfer, but I found the MAX-K head the most stable and forgiving of all the heads I tried. The stability of the club through impact really helped me to achieve a controlled and reliable ball flight, even on mishits, and I felt like I knew exactly where the golf ball was going to go.
Technology and Components: 5/5
Equipped with advanced weighting technology, the MAX-K driver places all the weight in the rear, promoting higher launch and improved stability without compromising speed. The lightweight carbon crown and sole work together with the internal technologies to maintain balance and help boost distance, while also ensuring the driver feels stable throughout the swing. With the introduction of Cobra’s new FUTUREFIT33 hosel, it’s hard to rate the DS-ADAPT MAX-K driver anything other than 5 out of 5 for this category. FUTUREFIT33 offers 33 loft and lie settings, allowing players to fine-tune their launch conditions for a more customized fit. This flexibility, combined with the driver’s forgiving design, makes it a great choice for golfers seeking consistent, game-improving performance with optimized ball flight.
Alternative Options
If you’re looking for a driver that will offset a slice then consider the new Cobra DS-ADAPT MAX-D with draw-biased weighting that will actively counteract the sidespin that leads to slicing, producing straighter, longer ball flights.
