Looks, Sound and Feedback: 4.5/5

I really liked the sleek, modern design of the DS-ADAPT LS fairway wood, especially its deep face profile – it gave me a lot of confidence standing at address over the golf ball. The combination of the titanium and carbon construction looks premium and high-tech, which made it feel like I was swinging something truly advanced. At impact, the sound was crisp and satisfying, a perfect match for the club’s performance-focused design. I also appreciated the feedback I got on every swing – it was responsive enough to let me feel the difference between a center strike and a mishit, which helped me adjust and trust the club more with each shot.

Distance and Spin: 4.5/5

The DS-ADAPT LS fairway wood delivered exactly what it promised: low spin and serious distance. I liked how the tungsten weighting created a high launch while keeping the spin down, giving me a piercing ball flight that carried a fair way. Even on my less-than-perfect strikes, the titanium face insert worked to maintain ball speed, which kept my distance consistent. It felt like the club was doing a lot of the hard work for me, which I definitely appreciated.

Forgiveness and Control: 4/5

I was impressed by the balance this club struck between forgiveness and control. While the DS-ADAPT LS is clearly designed for more advanced players, I liked how stable it felt on my mishits. The deep face profile gave me confidence that I could work the ball when needed, but I didn’t feel like I had to be perfect every time to get solid results. Whilst I don’t personally need a low-spin club, the performance I got from this model made it easy to see how it can help you to shape shots, but it still felt forgiving enough to trust on those days when my swing wasn’t quite on point.

Cobra's FUTUREFIT33 Hosel

Technology and Components: 5/5

The technology in the DS-ADAPT LS is impressive. The combination of titanium and carbon materials makes the head feel light but powerful, and the 60 grams of tungsten weight positioned low and forward really helped me achieve a high launch with low spin. The FUTUREFIT33 hosel was of course another highlight for me – it gave me so many adjustment options to dial in the loft and lie to fit my swing perfectly. I felt like I could tailor this club to match my needs.

Alternative Options

If you’re looking for a more all-round fairway, which isn’t targeted to high spin players, then consider the Cobra DS-ADAPT X fairway wood.
