Macgregor MacTec Draw driver

By TG Equipment editor

MacGregor Golf’s new MACTEC NVG driver is the world’s first dual Beta Titanium driver.

The MACTEC NVG driver uses revolutionary technologies in clubhead construction, weighting system and shaft design, offering golfers the most advanced technologies available and a substantial increase in power, forgiveness and accuracy, regardless of skill level according to the team behind it’s design.

The MACTEC NVG driver features a never-before-used Beta Titanium crown insert technology to produce the World’s first dual Beta Titanium clubhead. MacGregor’s exclusive silver brazing technology allows for an ultra-thin Titanium crown insert into a Titanium body, which effectively shifts weight from the crown to the sole. In summary, technology that dramatically lowers the centre of gravity for higher launch, less spin and explosive distance.

Each loft of the MACTEC NVG draw driver provides distinctive properties for optimal launch, spin and bias. A 15-3 Beta Titanium face insert is used in the 7.5 and 8.5 degree lofts for the hottest ball response and lowest spin.

Four Tungsten weights with 19 total grams are strategically placed in the heel and toe. Eight and six gram Tungsten weights in the heel produce a low, deep CG providing optimal launch and draw bias properties.

In controlled robotic testing the combination of MACTEC’s Quadra-Action shaft and clubhead consistently added 3 mph at swing-speeds between 80 and 90 mph.
