Jun20 Linna golf sauna
Last updated:
Here’s a fine way to relieve those aches and pains after a round… a luxury Finnish sauna!
That’s the star feature of a new clubhouse at the latest course in Finland, Linna Golf.
The striking, rustic-style clubhouse, converted from 80-year-old farm buildings, includes 18 golf suites, each with its own private sauna offering views over the course on the historic Vanajanlinna Castle estate, an hour¹s drive from Helsinki.
Mika Walkamo, President of Linna Golf, said: “Vanajanlinna is Finland¹s only country house hotel and offers a unique experience amid historic surroundings. Now we have a fantastic new clubhouse with modern, luxury accommodation and spa facilities to complement the hotel.
“Taking a sauna is a national pastime in Finland, which is why there are private saunas in all our new golf suites. Some of the saunas even have views over the golf course, so you will be able to relax, unwind and enjoy watching the golf.”
While the clubhouse houses 12 of the 18 golf suites on its second and third floors, six grand apartments are located in a separate building adjacent to the clubhouse. All suites feature a living room, kitchenette, bedrooms, bathroom and sauna.
Linna Golf suites are for sale and the owners are able to use them on an unlimited basis with the option to rent them out through the Vanajanlinna Hotel, with agreed profits forwarded on to the owner.
