The Quinn Direct British Masters is set to take place in September for the first time since 1999.

The  prestigious tournament will be played from 20th – 23rd September  2007  and will  return  for the second consecutive year to The Belfry on the world famous Brabazon Course, host to four past Ryder Cup events.

Johan  Edfors, the defending champion, has confirmed that he will bid to  regain his  title. Other past and present Quinn Direct British Masters’ stars are set to join him to compete for the 1.8 million prize fund.

Commenting on this year’s tournament, Edfors said: “2006 was an incredible  year for  me  and winning the Quinn Direct British Masters at The Belfry was a  major highlight  in  that year. I know that the competition will be tough,  but  I  am relishing the opportunity to defend my title in September.”
