Clicgear 4.0 – £229

Clicgear have been at the forefront of trolley design ever since the rise in popularity of push trolleys. The 4.0’s predecessor, the 3.5+, was an award winner here at TG and the new upgraded 4.0, which has tweaks to everything from the cargo storage net to the silicone bag straps, just nudges the bar a little higher.

At 8.45kg the Clicgear might not be the lightest push trolley available, but its aircraft-grade aluminium frame is second to none in terms of build quality. Yet the 4.0’s tiny storage size is actually very comparable to some “super compacts” on the market.

Big Max Blade IP – £299

For the second year in a row the Blade IP is one of our top push trolleys of the year.

It’s hard to believe when it’s carrying your full bag around a course that the thing can fold down into something not much higher than a coffee cup (12.5cm).

But it’s not just its folded size – which takes up hardly any room in a car boot or garage – that’s impressive to us. Its genius folding mechanism means it takes seconds to put down or pop up, it’s robust and a doddle to use. Clever design that actually works; we love it.

Motocaddy Cube – £179.99

Motocaddy know a thing or two about making a decent electric trolley, and much of that know-how is passed down into the 2020 Cube. The old one was Motocaddy’s best-selling push model in 2019, and this new version is even better.

It’s really compact and has the easiest two-step folding system, plus an adjustable handle height with a foot brake.

One brilliant feature taken from the electric models is the Easilock connection system so you don’t need a lower bag strap.

Motocaddy say this Cube is 40% smaller than traditional push trolleys and we have to agree it’s really compact when folded.
