Today’s Golfer Scoring Academy
Last updated:
We’ll probably never be able to drive the ball 340 yards like Bubba Watson, launch laser-guided fairway woods at the pin like Tiger Woods or generate incredible backspin on our iron shots like Rory McIlroy – but there’s absolutely nothing stopping us from honing a razor-sharp short game that will cut shots off our handicaps.
We’ve teamed up with Cleveland Golf and Srixon to create this Scoring Academy – a four-part series that will help you improve your pitching, chipping, bunker play and putting. Six lucky readers won the opportunity to attend our intensive two-day Scoring Academy at the stunning Verdura Resort in Sicily. They benefited from the expert tuition of Tour Pro Andrew Murray and the latest Cleveland Golf clubs and Srixon balls – and you can share their journey and improve your short game alongside them over the next three months.
VIDEOS: Short game strategy and technique
We’ll start by examining the importance of the short game in making your scores, giving you a go-to technique for pitching, chipping, bunker play and putting.
You can also watch our video interviews with each of the six lucky TG readers who attended the Scoring Academy here.
