One-Handed Arm Rotation Drill

The primary cause of the slice occurs when the club tracks down on an out-to-in swing path, cutting across the ball with an open clubface.

With this anti-slice drill, you can use simply the weight of the club to get your swing plane online.

By just placing your right hand on the grip when you swing, the weight of the club makes it drop on a much better swing plane on the downswing – slightly from the inside.

The other thing this practice drill will do is make the wrist hinge freer. By using just the one hand on the club, it’s a lot more difficult to manipulate the wrist position. When you go back to using two hands, remember to try and recreate the same feeling on the downswing.
