Perfect the flop shot

The flop shot is one of the scariest shots in golf for the average club player and unless you’ve got a bit of the Phil Micklesons about you then you’re likely to struggle to get down in two.
But help is at hand from our TG Elite Pro James Ridyard. He’s found himself greenside, in a fluffy lie, with the flag cut close to him.
Here are his top tips to get up-and-down. First, open the face and set the shaft lower than normal. Then get your clubface to face back toward you in the backswing.
Lastly, your follow through should be shorter and closer to your body to stop the ball shooting out low and travelling too far. Good luck!
