Ignore the hole to make more putts!

A common cause of excessive tension on shorter putts is the fact that you can see the hole in your peripheral vision. This leads to last-moment compensations in the stroke and putts missing left or right.

On longer putts, the hole doesn’t come into view when addressing the ball so the putter swings much more freely. This is the feeling you want to recreate on all lengths of putt, as TG Elite Pro Rob Watts explains in this golf video tip.
