Focus away from the cup to hole putts!

Amateur golfers miss their fair share of putts from inside 15 feet because they focus too much on the hole itself rather than the intended line.

It may sound daft but the key in putting from this range is to ignore the hole and focus on the line the ball will travel on. Don’t just look at where you want the ball to finish.

To help achieve this, try imagining a phantom hole positioned where your ball would finish should you have a dead straight putt. This will help you take your focus away from the hole and on to the correct line of the putt.
