On-plane takeaway drill

Golfers struggling to control the dispersion of their iron shots usually do so because there is too much rotation of the clubface through the hitting area. This fault makes it difficult to square the clubface consistently and also increases the likelihood of applying sidespin on the ball.

This drill from TG Elite Teaching Pro Gareth Johnston helps you swing the club back neutrally in your takeaway, increasing the chance of the club coming into the ball squarely and on plane in the downswing for straighter iron shots.
