Many amateur golfers become anxious because the lack of loft long irons possess. This can often lead to the golfer changing their angle of attack and try and hit up on the ball – but this just makes the task of getting the ball airborne more difficult!
As Tee Zone instructor Gareth Johnston explains in this golf video tip, the key to get the weight moving forward in the downswing, not shifting it backwards to try and lift the ball.
Tee height is also a crucial factor and Gareth has a great tip to ensure you tee your ball up at a consistent height for this shot.
