Approach Zone – Downhill Lie

The worst thing you can do when faced with a downhill lie, when the left foot is below the right for a right-handed golfer, is try to add loft to the club by leaning back! This will make you hit the ball fat and thin, rarely out of the middle of the club.

In this golf video tip, TG Approach Zone Instructor Adrian Fryer demonstrates the importance of tracing the contours of the slope with your clubhead rather than fighting it. This ensures you still achieve a solid contact time after time.

In conjunction with some set-up changes that Adrian explains, you won’t even notice you’re on a slope as you watch your ball find the green with ease.
