Retract the clubhead chipping drill

Many club golfers mistakenly think the ball gets airborne when chipping because of a lofty follow through. But it’s the angle of attack and loft on the club that does it, as TG Elite Teaching Pro Adrian Fryer explains in this golf video tip.
If you struggle to control the strike and distance control on chip shots, try this drill during practice whereby you retract the clubhead away from the target after striking the ball. You’ll soon see your results from around the green improve.
