Align your ball on the tee

Many golfers of all abilities draw a straight line on their golf ball to help them align the putter on the green. But why stop there? Any chance you get to handle your ball before striking it, use this to advantage by aligning a line on your ball to your intended target.

Rory McIlroy did this during the first round of The Barclays this week when the players were operating under a ‘pick and place’ rule on the fairways. He went on to shoot a 3-under 68!

So off the tee or on the fairways when permitted, use the line on your ball to help you hit straighter shots.
