A brief history of Tiger Woods romantic life

At the 2001 Open Championship, Woods met Swedish au pair Elin Nordegren, who was working for Jesper Parnevik at the time. The pair were engaged two years later and have two children, Sam and Charlie, together.

The marriage ended bitterly, though, when the National Enquirer published a story saying Woods was having an extramarital affair with a New York-based nightclub manager. Two days later, Woods was involved in a car accident near his Florida home.

In the coming weeks, more than a dozen women claimed they had been involved with Woods, who ended up admitting to multiple infidelities. The pair divorced in 2010.

Following the breakdown of his marriage, Woods was rumored to have been dating stylist Kristen Smith, as well as being in a two-year relationship with Olympic gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn.

In 2017, Woods began a relationship with restaurant manager Erica Herman, but in 2023 Herman filed a lawsuit against the 15-time major champion saying she was owed millions of dollars after an oral agreement was breached when Woods “locked her out of the residence, removed her personal belongings, and informed her she could not return.”

Woods, who turns 50 in December, is currently out indefinitely with an Achilles injury.

Woods has been “secretly dating” Vanessa Trump for several months, according to the Daily Mail.

Vanessa, 47, was married to Donald Trump Jr for 12 years before they divorced in 2018. The pair have five children, including Kai Trump, who is about to embark on a golf career at the University of Miami. Kai was recently photographed with Woods at the Genesis Invitational – wearing Sun Day Red, no less – with Vanessa walking behind the pair.

A source has told the New York Post that what started out as a friendship has become “something more”, adding: “It’s not too serious, it’s heading in that direction, though. They have a lot in common. They’ve both gotten used to public scrutiny. They both know how to keep their private life private. They’re both parents.”

The celebrity gossip experts at People magazine also say that Donald Jr – the eldest of President Donald Trump’s five children – is “cool” with Woods dating his ex-wife.

Despite separating from Donald Jr more than seven years ago, Vanessa – a former model and actress – remains close to the family and is still a regular on her father’s presidential campaign circuit.

Vanessa also has an interesting dating history. In her teens she was in a relationship with gangster Valentin Rivera before being linked to Hollywood megastar Leonardo DiCaprio.

She was then in a three-year relationship with Saudi prince Khalid bin Bandar – but that ended when he left the US due to his father’s alleged links with the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001.
