Who is Ludvig Aberg’s caddie?

Tipped by many as a future World No.1, Ludvig Aberg is betting on Rickie Fowler’s former caddie to help take his game to new heights
Ludvig Aberg has a lot of things going for him right now. Good looks, a picture-perfect swing, and one of the most experienced caddies on the PGA Tour helping to navigate his way around the course.
Joe Skovron, a veteran of more than 50 major championships, was drafted in as Aberg’s right-hand man in late 2023, having previously spent 13 years caddieing for Rickie Fowler. He was most recently on the bag of another rising star, Tom Kim, but that lasted less than two years once Aberg made his interest known.
“Lud[vig] is just one of those jobs that you feel like comes around once in a generation,” Skovron told Golf.com last year. “I felt like I had to take it.”
Aberg won twice – the Omega European Masters and The RSM Classic – with former professional Jack Clarke by his side, but chose to switch things up after the Ryder Cup in Rome to benefit from Skovron’s nous and know-how in the biggest events.

It almost paid off in a big way last April, when Aberg finished second – four shots behind Scottie Scheffler – on his Masters debut.
He came close again in the US Open at Pinehurst, but had to wait until February 2025 – 13 months after their partnership began – to claim his first victory with Skovron on the bag. He did it in style too, birdieing four of his final six holes at Torrey Pines to win the Genesis Invitational.
Many are now talking about him as the best current golfer without a major, though you fancy it won’t stay that way for long. Three of our tipsters are betting on him winning one of the big four this season.
