Patrick Reed had a hole-in-one on the famous Watering Hole at LIV Golf Adelaide

Patrick Reed sent the Australian fans into a frenzy after a hole-in-one on LIV Golf’s most famous par-3 in Adelaide.

There are holes-in-one, then there are holes-in-one in front of thousands of drunk fans.

Golf’s most famous so-called “party hole” – the 16th at TPC Scottsdale during the Phoenix Open – has seen its fair share of aces down the years. And those who have done it in recent years have regularly been treated to a shower of Coors Light.

But while that particular event has somewhat restricted the raucous celebrations, LIV Golf Adelaide has done no such thing, and is quickly becoming the go-to spot for boozy days watching the world’s finest strut their stuff.

This golf-starved corner of Australia was out in force a couple of years ago to witness Chase Koepka hole out on the par-3 12th at The Grange Golf Club.

And now the fans are celebrating another after Patrick Reed’s tee shot pitch just short of the hole, bounced once, twice, and fell into the cup.

We could describe the scenes that followed, but we’re sure you’d rather watch them for yourself…

So that’s why they call it the Watering Hole! We get it now.

Anyway, it’s got us thinking at TG Towers.

Would you rather have:

  • A hole-in-one on the Stadium Hole at TPC Scottsdale during the WM Phoenix Open;
  • A hole-in-one on the Watering Hole at The Grange during LIV Golf Adelaide;
  • Or a hole-in-one on Golden Bell at Augusta – BUT there are no witnesses or any evidence it ever happened?
