Who is Tommy Fleetwood’s caddie?

He is one of the most recognisable loopers in all of professional golf, but who is Tommy Fleetwood’s caddie?
Who is Tommy Fleetwood’s caddie? The man who towers above most of his peers and the best players in the world is England’s Ian Finnis.
Finnis stands at 6-foot-7 and has been on Fleetwood’s bag since the early part of 2016.
Fleetwood had been struggling with his game and decided to make several changes to his team. That included reaching out to Finnis, himself a very competent golfer.
The pair rose through the amateur ranks together before Fleetwood went onto forge a successful career on tour and Finnis became an assistant pro at Formby Hall near Southport.
Fast forward to now and the Fleetwood-Finnis axis is one of the most successful partnerships in the men’s game, but it could have been different.
After receiving the call, Finnis agreed to take the role only on a temporary basis. A decade later, the pair are still going strong.
Fleetwood regained form and enjoyed a stellar 2017 with Finnis on the bag, winning twice on the DP World Tour en route to landing the season-long Race to Dubai crown.
In total, the pair have won six DP World Tour titles together and have come agonisingly close to a first victory across the pond.
Fleetwood has finished second five times on the PGA Tour, which includes an agonising play-off loss at the 2023 Canadian Open.
The English duo have also endured some near-misses at the majors. A final-round 63 at the 2018 US Open at Shinnecock also raised hopes he might pull off an incredible comeback win but he was pipped by a shot by Brooks Koepka.
He also has a second-place finish – albeit a more distant one – to his name at the 2019 Open a five other top-fives in the game’s showpiece events.
Fleetwood and Finnis have enjoyed plenty of special moments throughout their time together, but perhaps none more so than at the 2018 and 2023 Ryder Cups.
Making his debut at Le Golf National in 2018, Fleetwood won four of five points in a dominant European triumph and then claimed the winning point at Marco Simone in 2023 to help Europe regain the cup.
There was a brief hiatus in their working relationship when Finnis was forced to take a break in 2024 for health reasons.
