Make sure you don’t miss any of the action from TPC Sawgrass after the Players Championship final round tee times were brought forward.

The Players Championship final round tee times have been moved due to forecast inclement weather.

According to the PGA Tour’s vice president of rules and tournament administration, Stephen Cox, a significant cold front is expected in the area, bringing with it severe storms that are expected to arrive between 2pm and 4pm local time.

“We’ve been reviewing this weather for three or four days and unfortunately it’s held its pattern and it looks like this line of storms are going to be quite intense,” Cox said.

The storm has already hit other parts of central and south-eastern states, with flash flooding, tornadoes and wildfires killing at least 30 people across Missouri, Arkansas, Texas anad Oklahoma, according to NBC News.

As a result, the tee times at TPC Sawgrass have been moved forward in a bid to avoid the issues, with players going out in threeballs from the 1st and 10th holes between 8am and 10:01am ET.

“Obviously our preferred desire is to have one tee in two(somes) and this is the awkward balance that we face,” Cox said. “If we do roll the dice and try and play off one tee in two(somes) we could easily find ourselves in a Monday finish.”

Cox also said the grounds staff slowed the greens down for Saturday’s third round and this will remain the case for the final day.

“This strategy gives ourselves the best possible chance of completing the championship on Sunday,” he added.
