PGA Tour Creator Classic 2025: Everything you need to know
Last updated:
After the success of the inaugural Creator Classic last year, your favorite social media stars will square up against each other three more times in the new season
The PGA Tour’s Creator Classic is back!
The tournament – which sees golf’s biggest YouTube stars and social media personalities compete over nine holes ahead of a tournament – proved to be a huge success when it debuted at East Lake prior to last year’s season-ending Tour Championship.
So huge, in fact, that the PGA Tour commissioned three more renewals for the coming year – starting at TPC Sawgrass for the Players Championship.
The second will be held before the Truist Championship – the tournament formerly sponsored by Wells Fargo – which, for this year, has moved to Philadelphia Cricket Club so its usual home at Quail Hollow can host the PGA Championship.
The third will see a return to East Lake for the FedEx Cup finale.
What is the Creator Classic format?
The first Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass will see the field play eight holes of stroke play, starting on the par-4 10th of the Stadium Course and finishing on the island green at the 17th.
The top three in the leaderboard will then remain on the iconic par-3 to compete in a one-hole sudden-death playoff until a winner is determined.
Where can you watch the Creator Classic?
If you have tickets for the Wednesday of Players Championship week, then you can watch it in person.
Otherwise, it will be streamed live on the PGA Tour’s YouTube channel, as well as the Golf Channel, ESPN+, and the PGA Tour Channel, which can be accessed via a number of platforms including Amazon’s Prime Video.
The broadcast team will be made up of Shane Bacon, Doug Smith, Paige Spiranac and Dan Rapaport, and coverage will be produced by Pro Shop Studios – the team behind the Full Swing docuseries and Happy Gilmore 2.
Who’s in the Creator Classic field?
There are 10 players in the field for the Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass.
Returning are the Bryan Bros – George and Wesley – as well as Fat Perez from Bob Does Sports, Gabby Golf Girl and Roger Steele.
Making their debut, meanwhile, will be Grant Horvat, Kyle Berkshire, Tisha Alyn, Chris Solomon from No Laying Up, and Trent from Barstool Sports, who won in-house qualifier to make it in.
That means Luke Kwon, who won the inaugural Creator Classic, will not return to defend his title.
