LIV Golf Chicago 2024: Purse and prize money payout as Jon Rahm captures individual title
Last updated:
How much did each player win at LIV Golf Chicago where Jon Rahm held off Joaquin Niemann to seal the season-long Individual Championship in his debut season?
Golf’s $450 million man just got a little richer after his three-shot victory at Chicago’s Bolingbrook Golf Club earned the Spaniard a $4 million winner’s cheque in addition to an $18 million bonus.
Rahm’s performances in his debut season on the Saudi-backed tour have been remarkably consistent, registering top-10 finishes in all 12 events he has played, and notching up two victories in the final three regular-season tournaments.
His bogey-free four-under 66 was more than enough to thwart the challenge of Joaquin Niemann, who finished T2 with Sergio Garcia to take a $1,875,000 cut of the $20 million purse. Rahm’s Legion XIII teammate Tyrrell Hatton earned himself $1 million for his fourth-place finish, while Majesticks co-captains Ian Poulter and Henrik Stenson both secured their best paydays of the season in fifth and sixth respectively.
In the team event, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crusher’s GC won their first tournament since Hong Kong in March to secure top seeding for this week’s Team Championship in Dallas and the top prize of $3 million. Crushers – along with Legion XIII and Ripper GC – will receive byes for Friday’s quarter-final after finishing in the top three of the team standings after the regular season.
Here’s how the full prize fund was distributed in Chicago…
