LIV Golf announces major new TV broadcasting deal

The multi-year partnership will see LIV Golf events broadcast on a major network for the first time
Scott O’Neil has wasted no time in fixing one of his new employer’s biggest issues – a LIV Golf TV deal.
Since its inaugural season in 2022, LIV has largely been broadcast on its own website and YouTube channel, as well as little-known station The CW. The viewing figures, as a result, have largely been poor.
But there is hope within LIV Golf that it’s all change on that front.
O’Neil – who replaced Greg Norman as CEO and commissioner earlier this week – has announced the league will be televised on a major network for the third time in its fourth season.
The multi-year media rights agreement will see all 14 of LIV Golf’s events from the 2025 season broadcast on Fox Sports, beginning in Saudi Arabia in February and ending with the Team Championship in Michigan in August.
“We are thrilled to partner with Fox Sports, one of the pre-eminent broadcast networks in the world,” O’Neil said.
“LIV Golf is getting bigger and bolder, and this relationship signals the next phase of growth as our league joins the company of the nation’s premier sports leagues and conferences.
“I want to thank the FOX Sports team who share our vision for the future of golf, a new model that is redefining how the sport is experienced. LIV Golf is drawing a younger, more active and tech-savvy fan base, and as our players and teams prepare for LIV Golf’s biggest season yet, this agreement will take our broadcast to new heights.”
Jordan Bazant, Fox Sports’ executive vice-president, added that the LIV Golf TV partnership is a “natural fit” as the broadcaster prides itself as a “prominent slate of big events, world-class names and premium sports coverage.”
Two of those names include Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm.
Five-time major champion and captain of Smash GC Koepka described it as a “huge win for LIV Golf”, adding: “They know how to bring sports to life, and I’m pumped to see how they showcase what makes our game so unique. It’s awesome to have a partner that shares our vision, and I think the fans are going to love what’s coming.”
Legion XIII captain Rahm, who won the season-long standings in his maiden year on LIV Golf, is equally excited.
“This partnership is a huge step forward for LIV Golf and our fans as it will help bring our tournaments to a broader audience,” the Spaniard explained.
“Fox Sports has a reputation for delivering world-class sports coverage and I’m confident they will elevate the experience for everyone watching. I believe Fox Sports shares our commitment to pushing boundaries and innovating, and I can’t wait to see how this collaboration connects more fans to our sport.”
LIV Golf also confirmed their in-house team will continue to be a part of the production, maintaining the distinctive live leaderboards, stats-driven graphics, and drone footage.
Arlo White will also continue to head up the play-by-play analysis, while David Feherty, Jerry Foltz, Dom Boulet and Su-Ann Heng will provide the punditry.
