Who is Kate Rose?

Born in the UK on July 30, 1980, Kate Rose (née Phillips) began dating the golfer in 2000.

From an early age, she showed sporting promise. She pursued gymnastics at a high level, eventually representing her country as an international gymnast.

Alongside her sporting achievements, Kate also invested in her education, graduating from the University of Sussex. Her combination of academic success and athletic experience would soon lead her into a professional career that kept her connected to sport.

From athlete to sports executive, Kate began working for IMG. It was during her time there that she met a rising star in the golfing world – Justin Rose. The pair began dating in 2000, just as Rose was finding his footing on the professional circuit.

They married six years later in December 2006 and have since raised two children, their son Leo (born in 2009) and daughter Lottie (born in 2012). The Roses have split their time between homes in the Bahamas, Orlando, and southwest London.

More than a golf wife

In 2020, the pair launched the Justin Rose Ladies Series. The goal was simple: provide playing opportunities and prize money for female pros while the main tours were paused during the pandemic.

What began as a short-term initiative quickly evolved into a regular fixture on the calendar. The 2025 campaign will feature five tournaments over two weeks in April and May, continuing the Roses’ commitment to growing the women’s game.

Together, they’ve also founded the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation, which works to improve nutrition, education, and opportunities for children around the world. Since its launch, the foundation has supported over 500,000 children and families, primarily in the United States.
