Who is Jason Day’s wife? Meet Ellie Harvey

He is one of Australia’s finest ever golfers, but who is Jason Day’s wife?
His career has featured several ups and downs but who is Jason Day’s wife that has been with him throughout it all?
Few people can say they have achieved what Day has achieved. In 2015, he won his first major at the 2015 PGA Championship and took his place at the top of the men’s world rankings later that year after going on an incredible run of four victories in six starts.
His strong form continued into 2016 before injuries started to hinder him and he began to creep down the rankings.
As well as a major, Day is also a former Players champion and boasts 13 PGA Tour wins in all.
After suffering a complete loss of form, Day took on the daunting task of reconstructing his swing in order to make it less damaging on his back in particular.
Under the tutelage of renowned instructor Chris Como, Day put the work in and ended his five-year drought with victory at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson.
While that remains his most recent win, there is no doubt Day is a force in the men’s game once again, and few would be surprised if he picked up another major before it was all said and done.
Day met his wife when he was 17 and she was a waitress in Ohio, although they didn’t become a couple until over a year later. They quickly hit it off and got married in October 2009.
She is the president of the Brighter Days Foundation, which helps child-serving organisations in Central Ohio.
Do the Days have any children?
Day and Harvey have five children together: Dash, Lucy, Arrow, Ozzie and Winnie.
While Day was at the peak of his powers, Dash was always there to support his dad and share in the celebrations.
Family is clearly very important to Day, who lost his dad when he was 12. After winning the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson on Mother’s Day, the Australian paid tribute to his wife and his mother Dening, who passed away from cancer in 2022.
“This was the first [Mother’s Day] kind of without her so to have her on my caddie bib was special,” Day said.
“I was in tears for a little bit there, and to think about what my mum went through from 2017 on to her passing last year and then to know that. It was very emotional to go through and to experience what she was going through, then I had injuries on top of all of that going on in my life.
“And then obviously Ellie, the amount of sacrifices she’s made for me and my career, I just can’t thank her enough. She never gave up on me trying to get back to the winner’s circle again. She just always was pushing me to try and get better.”
