When will Tiger Woods join the 100 majors club?
We knew that’s what you’d be thinking – and the GOAT is currently on 95 major appearances – which means a whopping 16% win ratio.
However, it is unlikely he’ll tee up again in 2025, which means it will be at least two more years before he has the opportunity to get to 100.
What about LPGA players?
It’s a lot trickier to nail down exact numbers in the women’s game because the schedule of LPGA majors has never been consistent. These days there are five women’s majors a year, but in the 1960s and ‘70s there were as little as two. Some historic tournaments have also only been granted major status in recent years.
That said, we do know Juli Inkster leads the way on 137 appearances and seven wins, while Laura Davies started 133 majors and won four of them.
Cristie Kerr won two of her 109 major starts, while Angela Stanford’s victory at the 2018 Evian Championship was her sole title in 103 appearances.
Karrie Webb also sneaks into the 100 LPGA major starts club on the number, with a whopping seven wins.
