Another $20m purse is offered at the 2025 Genesis Invitational with Torrey Pines’s winner set for a $4m payday.
The third Signature event of the 2025 PGA Tour season moves 125 miles south from its spiritual home at Riviera Country Club to Torrey Pines in San Diego following the devastating wildfires that ravaged large areas of Los Angeles in January.
Tournament host Tiger Woods was initially listed in the field before withdrawing on Monday after revealing he is “still processing the loss” of his mother, Kultida, who passed last week.
Woods aims to attend Torrey Pines for the business end of the tournament and crown the winner who is set to receive a LIV-matching $4m, the same won in 2024 by Hideki Matsuyama. The Genesis Invitational awards $400,000 more to its champion than the tour’s first two Siganture events of the year – The Sentry and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The Genesis Invitational also awards an elevated 700 FedEx Cup points in addition to the inflated $20m purse that’s due to be distributed as follows…
