Tour Championship 2024: Final 30 confirmed for FedEx Cup showdown

The 30 players who will compete to become FedExCup Champion at East Lake Golf Club.

With the first two playoff events now in the books, the FedEx Cup race is set for its finale at the Tour Championship where just 30 players will compete for a cut of the mammoth $100 million bonus pool and chance to be crowned champion.

The race was whittled down from 70 to 50 at the first playoff event – the FedEx St. Jude Championship – won by Hideki Matsuyama, before 20 more were cut after the BMW Championship where Keegan Bradley remarkably won after qualifying as the final man in 50th position.

A heavy outsider is unlikely to prevail at East Lake, however, with the Tour Championship employing a unique Starting Strokes system that rewards the highest-ranked players in the FedEx Cup standings with varying degrees of headstart. It means that the tour’s two standout players of the season – Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele – will begin their campaigns for a first FedEx Cup title on 10-under and 8-under respectively.

Despite withdrawing from the BMW Championship with a lower back injury, Matsuyama will start third on the leaderboard on 7-under, ahead of Bradley, Aberg, and McIlroy who round off the top six.

Here are the 30 players who have made the East Lake field and the next five alternatives…
