WATCH: DP World Tour stars take on extreme hole-in-one challenge
Last updated:
You won’t believe the DP World Tour’s latest viral video – or where Padraig Harrington, Thorbjorn Olesen and Ryan Fox were attempting their hole-in-one challenge from…
Say what you want about the quality of the DP World Tour these days, but they surely have the best content creators in the business. Ahead of last week’s Ras Al Khaimah Championship in the UAE, they called on the services of Padraig Harrington, Thorbjorn Olesen and Ryan Fox and set up the highest-ever hole-in-one challenge with a 110-metre drop in elevation.
After scaling the 22nd floor of the Wynn Al Marjan Island, which is still under construction, the trio took it in turns to hit a 280-yard tee shot onto a floating green in the marina.
So, did anyone make it?
You can see the full video for yourself – and Padraig Harrington’s unique tactics – below…
The extreme hole-in-one challenge is the latest in a long line of DP World Tour viral stunts.
Others include Rory McIlroy being joined by Real Madrid and Wales footballer Gareth Bale in an attempt to knock a drone out of the sky, Scottie Scheffler and Garrick Higgo taking on a 1,500-yard putt, and the now famous 14-Club Challenge.
And who can forget Chase the Ace, which saw a number of tour stars trying to hit a hole-in-one with a certain amount of balls. I actually attempted something similar in 2018 – and spent 12 hours hitting 557 balls. The ending was particularly dramatic… as I detailed in my feature.
