DP World Tour Championship 2024: Tee Times and Pairings

Rory McIlroy tied for the lead alongside Antoine Rozner and Rasmus Høgaard heading into Sunday at the DP World Tour Championship

The 2024 DP World Tour season draws to a close on Sunday at the DP World Tour Championship. The top 50 golfers from the Race to Dubai rankings are teeing it up for the chance to win a share of the $10m purse available this week.

Three players are tied at the top of the leaderboard after 54 holes, No.1 in the Race to Dubai rankings, Rory McIlroy, Rasmus Højgaard, and 54-hole leader, Antoine Rozner.

With only 18 holes left to play in the DP World Tour Championship, it appears increasingly likely that McIlroy will claim his sixth Race to Dubai title. Before the first tee shot was hit this week, the only golfer standing in the Northern Irishman’s way was Thriston Lawrence, but being eight shots off the lead it seems very unlikely that McIlroy won’t be lifting the Harry Vardon trophy on Sunday.

A very steady 4-under par, 68, from McIlroy booked him a place in the final pairing on Sunday alongside Rasmus Høgaard who’ll be hoping to win this event 12 months after his twin brother, Nicolai Høgaard, in 2023.

Playing ahead of McIlroy and Højgaard is Antoine Rozner who jumped to 12-under par for the tournament after a stunning eagle on the last. The Frenchman is teeing off in the penultimate pairing alongside Jesper Svensson who looks guaranteed to take one of the 10 PGA Tour exemptions for 2025.

The third from last pairing consists of LIV golfers Joaquin Niemann and Tyrrell Hatton. The duo are paired together for the second day in a row, and being just two and three shots off the lead, respectively, both golfers are in a great position to mount a challenge on Sunday.

Last week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC champion, Paul Waring, who took home a huge share of the $9m purse has work to do on Sunday if he’s to replicate that victory. The Englishman is currently six-under par after back-to-back rounds of 71 on Friday and Saturday.

Northern Ireland’s Tom McKibbin is currently the 11th player in the R2D rankings eligible for receiving one of the 10 PGA Tour cards for 2025. At 8-under par, McKibbin’s in a tie for eighth and a positive showing on Sunday could help him earn one of those 10 PGA Tour cards.
