CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024: Prize money breakdown as Pendrith wins maiden title
Last updated:
How much did each player win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson where Taylor Pendrith won for the first time on the PGA Tour?
Signature Events aside, the $9.5 million on offer in McKinney, Texas represented the largest PGA Tour purse of the regular season, $100K more than the RBC Canadian Open at the end of the month.
Picking up the winner’s cheque of $1.71 million at TPC Craig Ranch was Canadian Taylor Pendrith, securing his first PGA Tour title on 23-under par, a shot clear of American Ben Kohles.
“It was all a blur, the last hour,” Pendrith said. “To finally get it done feels unbelievable.”
The week must have also felt like a bit of a blur for teenage sensation Kris Kim who was making his PGA Tour debut as an amateur. Despite not being eligible to receive prize money, Kim sailed through the cut line becoming the youngest player since 2015 to do so, and will no doubt be thrilled at how his game stacked up against the pros.
