Find out more about Brooks Koepka’s caddie.

He’s the man who’s been on the Floridian’s bag for a decade, including all of his five major victories, but who is Brooks Koepka’s caddie?

Meet the Northern Irishman hailing from Portrush – Ricky Elliott.

Elliott’s early gigs were with Maarten Lafeber and Ben Curtis. He was on the former Open champion’s bag when he won the 2012 Valero Texas Open.

Elliot also caddied for Matt Fitzpatrick during the 2014 Masters when the Englishman was an amateur and played at Augusta National as the reigning US Amateur champion.

Koepka and Elliott were introduced by Koepka’s coach, Claude Harmon, ahead of the 2013 PGA Championship. Ever since, there’s been no looking back, with the pair going on to win multiple titles across golf’s premier tours.

Elliott has also caddied for Koepka in several Ryder Cups and has remained loyal to his man by following his move to LIV Golf in the summer of 2022.

Following Koepka’s second US Open victory, in an interview with ESPN, Elliott said: “He’s just a real strong mental guy, he’s unflappable. When he hits a bad shot, he never gives me any grief.

“He gets on with it. He takes a huge responsibility in what he’s doing out there. Makes my job very easy.”

The praise is reciprocal, too, with Koepka saying at the 2019 Open Championship: “Under pressure, he knows exactly what to say at the right time, and that’s what you want in a caddie.

“I wouldn’t want anybody else on my bag, I know that. He’s been tremendous. He’s part of the reason why I’ve had the success I’ve had. And I love the guy to death.”
