Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 2024: Purse and prize money breakdown as Hatton wins

Here’s how the prize money was distributed at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on the DP World Tour where Tyrrell Hatton made it a hatrick of wins.

Englishman Tyrrell Hatton became the first player to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship three times, birdieing the final hole at St Andrews to pip Nicolas Colsaerts by a stroke.

Hatton played all four days with his father Jeff, as his amateur partner at the unique-style competition played across three courses – St Andrews, Kingsbarns, and Carnoustie. The duo finished second in the team competition at 46 under.

“It’s the first time I’ve actually won a tournament with my dad here, said Hatton.

“It means a lot and to do it at the home of golf, it’s really special. I’m trying not to cry, to be honest. I’m a bit lost for words.”

Not only did the Legion XIII star claim a third title, following his back-to-back victories in 2016 and 2017, but he bagged himself a place in the history books at St Andrews by equalling the course record with an 11-under 61 on Saturday.

The victory earned Hatton an $800,000 payday from the $5 million purse and more importantly, rocketed him up to fifth on the European Ryder Cup Points List. His appearance in Scotland was his fourth on the DPWT this season, meaning the LIV player has now met the minimum requirements to remain eligible for Luke Donald’s team for Bethpage Black next September.

“It’s a Ryder Cup year, continued Hatton.

“I want to earn as many points as I possibly can, and you know, I’m committed to trying my best to earn the points that I need to be on that team.”
