AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Betting Tips
Dustin Johnson: 11/2
Dustin Johnson eagled the 72nd hole at the Saudi International to finish second in his title defence, which was just his second tournament back since his knee surgery at the end of last season. Only player last week to shoot four rounds in the 60s. Had a lot of success at Pebble Beach, with two wins, two runner-up finishes, and three further top 5s since 2009.
Patrick Cantlay: 9/1
Making his third start of the year following a 4th place finish at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and a T34 at the European Tour’s Abu Dhabi Championship, and hasn’t finished worse than T41 in his last 17 starts anywhere. Skipped this event last year, and looking to improve on a T45 and T34 in two appearances.
Jason Day: 16/1
Day pulled out of December’s Presidents Cup with a back injury, and made his first start since November with a T16 at the Farmers Insurance Open two weeks ago. Definitely one to to watch this week thanks to course form: In the last five years here Day has had four top fives (including a runner-up finish in ’18), and a T11.
Paul Casey: 16/1
Began the year with a T19 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, followed by a T21 at the American Express. Runner-up here to Mickelson in 2019, which followed on from a T8 in 2018.
Brandt Snedeker: 20/1
Missed the cut last week, but it was his first missed cut since The Open, and he had finished T3 at the Farmers Insurance Open the previous week. Snedeker is also a two-time winner here (2013-2015).
Phil Mickelson: 22/1
Mickelson’s T3 at last week’s Saudi International was his first top 10 since that record-tying victory at Pebble Beach last year – hitting form at a perfect time as he returns to a place where he has five wins, two runner-ups and two third-place finishes in his career.
Matthew Fitzpatrick: 25/1
Fitzpatrick carried on his brilliant end to the 2018/19 season with a runner-up in Abu Dhabi – his fifth second place finish in the last 11 months, before a T45 in his last start in Dubai. Returns to Pebble Beach hoping to improve on a missed cut last year.
Graeme McDowell: 33/1
Heads to California following his 11th European Tour victory at the Saudi International last week, and finished T4 in his last PGA Tour start at the Sony Open. T18 here last year, with a best of T7 in 2014
Max Homa: 50/1
Homa comes to Pebble Beach with three top 10s in his last five starts on the PGA Tour, including a T9 at Torrey Pines and T6 last week in Phoenix. Was T10 here last year.
