What’s In The Bag: Brooks Koepka (April 2025)

What’s in the bag of five-time major champion and LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka.
Brooks Koepka was one of the many Nike Tour staff who found themselves without an equipment deal when the company stopped making clubs in 2016.
For several years, he chose not to get tied into another full-bag contract and instead picked the clubs he wanted to play from a variety of manufacturers, before signing with Srixon and Cleveland in 2021.

“I’ve been an equipment free agent for the past few years, so it will be fun to be involved with a company on a daily basis and be able to contribute to the development of their future equipment,” said Koepka, on signing the deal. “I put the ZX7 irons in play in January, and it is the best iron I have played on Tour. ”

He joined the brand’s impressive line-up of tour players which includes fellow Major champions Hideki Matsuyama, Shane Lowry, Graeme McDowell, Keegan Bradley, Inbee Park, Minjee Lee, and Hannah Green.
Koepka’s clubs are still an interesting mix, though, with one or two from other manufacturers, including a couple of pretty old clubs.

Let’s take a look at what club’s five-time major champion and Ryder Cup star Brooks Koepka has in his bag in 2025.
What’s In The Bag: Brooks Koepka

What driver does Brooks Koepka use?
Brooks Koepka uses a Titleist GT3 driver (10.5°) with a Mitsubishi Diamana D Limited 60 TX shaft

During Ryder Cup week, we noticed Brooks had switched out his Srixon ZX5 MKII LS driver for TaylorMade's 2021 SIM2 model, which he's played up until the 2024 PGA Championship, finally switching into the Qi10 'dot' driver.
At the 2025 Masters, however, Brooks switched into a Titleist GT3 driver in his ever-present Diamana shaft. That week didn't end up too well, though, so perhaps we'll see the Qi10 back in the bag before long.

What fairway wood does Brooks Koepka use?
Brooks Koepka uses a TaylorMade M2 Tour HL Fairway Wood (16.5°) with a Mitsubishi Diamana D+ 80 TX shaft

Fast, far and forgiving say TaylorMade. Everything from previous iterations of the M2 was stripped back to bare bones and improved for the 2017 model.
The carbon crown’s reduced to six layers, there’s a longer and more flexible speed pocket and a lighter fluted hosel all to increase ball speed, carry distance, and forgiveness. There’s also some serious “geocoustic” engineering to tune sound and feel.

What irons does Brooks Koepka use?
Brooks Koepka uses a Nike Vapor Pro 3-iron with a Fujikura Pro Tour Spec 95 X Shaft

No wonder he is a fan of the trusted Nike club, it has seen him lift five major titles in a dominant spell of his career.
He has replaced it a few times over the years but for all his major successes it has featured and we can't see it leaving any time soon.

Brooks Koepka uses Srixon ZX7 Irons (4-9i) with True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shafts

Our pro was really impressed by the feel and feedback from the ZX7, and the data it produced against its peers (see our 2021 Players’ Iron Test here)is undeniably impressive. A 7-iron carry of 168 yards was our third longest in testing, but more impressive than that was how the ZX7 combined that power with only dropping seven yards (4.2%) between on- and off-center strikes (third best), which really helps consistency and scoring on the course.
Despite being replaced by the ZXi7 MKii and now the ZXi models, Koepka hasn't felt the need to upgrade yet, even with the impressive performance on offer from the new line.

What wedges does Brooks Koepka use?
Brooks Koepka uses Cleveland RTZ Tour Rack Raw Wedges (46°-10 Mid, 52°-10 Mid, 56°-10 Mid, 60°-10 Low) with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts
The RTZ wedges feature some genuinely impressive upgrades over the previous RTX6 ZipCore models, in particular with the new featured material they're made from.
Z-Alloy, a proprietary metal manufactured and designed entirely in-house by Srixon, has two key selling points. Firstly, they're 10% softer than before, meaning you get unprecedented feedback from any lie and any shot.
But secondly, this alloy doesn't rust. This keeps your clubs clean and fresh for as long as you want them to be, and you can also play them in a raw finish, as Brooks does, to maximise your spin from the face.

What putter does Brooks Koepka use?
Brooks Koepka uses a Scotty Cameron T10 Select Newport 2 Teryllium Putter

The Newport 2 shape will be familiar to golfers all over the world, with the classic blade look something many will aspire to.
What makes this model different, however, is the face insert. Made from tellurium copper which uses 12 alloys to create a soft feel, Teryllium inserts are patented to Scotty Cameron with plenty of tour demand (Tiger used a Tel3 with the same insert for his first major win in '97) the 'T10' model being a reference to 10 years on tour for the insert.

What golf ball does Brooks Koepka use?
Brooks Koepka uses the Srixon Z-Star Diamond Golf Ball
Best premium balls for durability

Arguably the biggest star playing a Srixon golf ball is 2023 PGA champion Brooks Koepka, who plays the Z-Star Diamond which is another outstanding premium Srixon golf ball. The Z-Star XV golf balls are capable of competing with any of the best tour standard golf balls. If you struggle to see your golf balls or line up your putts you can purchase the Divide which is half yellow, half white - only available in the Z-Star.

What golf apparel does Brooks Koepka wear?
What golf shoes does Brooks Koepka wear?
Brooks Koepka wears the Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour Next% Golf Shoes
The most responsive spiked golf shoe

We weren't alone in feeling the previous iteration was too narrow for our feet. Nike have listened and increased the overall volume to give your foot more room, which means this will have more mass market appeal.
A new plush padded collar at the ankle helps increase support and cushioning while reducing heel slip. The shoe now sports two Zoom air units and customer feedback has seen new spikes integrated into the heel and toe for much-improved traction.
There have also been improvements to the upper which is both breathable and durable. We also found it very easy to clean, which is a key factor in our reviews.

- Air bubble
- Soft underfoot
- Great grip
Cons
- Not the easiest to keep clean
