Wyndham Championship: Find out how to watch the PGA Tour this week and who to back
The PGA Tour heads to Sedgefield Country Club this week for the final event of the regular season, meaning there’s plenty of meaningful points up for grabs if anyone wants to extend their year to the FedEx Cup playoffs, and for those looking to keep their Tour cards.
And because it’s the final event, it’s all about the Wyndham Rewards – a $10 million bonus that will be split between the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup top 10 Regular Season finishers. As it stands, Paul Casey is the only man in the field who is already in that top 10, but they’ll be a few players – including home favourite Webb Simpson, who could vault themselves in to one of those positions with a win.
Simpson tops the bookies favourites heading to North Carolina this week, while Jordan Spieth is among the players hoping to improve his position as he bids not to miss out on the Tour Championship for the second year in a row.

Wyndham Championship Betting Tips
Webb Simpson: 10/1
Hard to look past local man Webb this week. Posted his second runner-up finish in his last four starts at the WGC FedEx St Jude Invitational last week, and hasn’t finished outside of the top 30 anywhere since before the Masters. 2011 Champion was T2 here last year and has two other top 10s in his last four starts at the Wyndham. Ranks 4th Scoring average, 12th SG: Putting, 15th SG: Around the green and 16th tee to green on the PGA Tour this season.
Collin Morikawa: 14/1
He may only just have turned professional a month ago, but Morikawa is showing no signs of slowing down. Three top 4s in his last three starts include a win at last week’s Barracuda Championship, a T4 at the John Deere Classic and a T2 at the 3M Open before that.
Hideki Matsuyama: 16/1
Form has slightly slowed since posting a run of 16 top-33s in a row (including five top 10s), missing the cut at the Open and finishing T47 at last week’s WGC. T11-T3 in his last two starts here. Ranks 4th SG: Approach, 5th SG: Tee to green, 11th birdie average and 15th scoring average this season.
Jordan Spieth: 18/1
Followed up a T20 at The Open with a T12 last week in Memphis – which included a final-round 68 (only his third under par Sunday round of the year) that led him to say he made more strides with his game than any other week of the season. Lost in a playoff to Reed here in ’13. Ranks 6th SG: Putting, 14th birdie average.
Brandt Snedeker: 22/1
A mixed bag of results this season that has seen him go T5 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, MC at The Open and T27 at last week’s WGC. Two time winner includes victory last year, as well as being T3 here in 2016. Ranks 3rd SG: Around the green and 11th SG: Putting
Patrick Reed: 22/1
Followed up a T10 at the Open with a T12 last week in Memphis, and was T5 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic a couple of weeks before that. Champion at the Wyndham in 2013, and was T22 the last time he teed up here in 2016. Ranks 9th SG: Around the green and 33rd for scoring average.
Paul Casey: 22/1
Another player who has struggled with consistency since claiming the Valspar Championship earlier in the year, but a T5 at the Travelers in one of his last three starts (T57 at the Open, T27 WGC followed). T3 the last time he teed up here in 15 and was T18 the year before. Ranks 7th SG: Tee to green, 8th SG: Off the tee, 11th SG: Approach, 13th GIR and 17th for scoring average.
Viktor Hovland: 28/1
Has gone T13-T13-T16 in his last three starts on the PGA Tour (a collective 44 under par), and looking to follow in the footsteps of Morikawa and Matthew Wolff this week with a win. Debut at the Wyndham and no stats to boast, but his last nine rounds have been in the 60s.
Cameron Smith: 35/1
If not for a final round 76 Smith would have finished far better than T20 at the Open, and followed it with a T12 last week. T7 in his only Wyndham appearance in 2017. Best stat is 29th for SG: Around the green
Charles Howell III: 35/1
T6 in his last start at the John Deere Classic and looking to regain the form that saw him win the RSM Classic last year. Best of T4 here in 2011, and T31 in his last start in ’15. Ranks 3rd GIR and 7th SG: Around the green
Alex Noren: 40/1
Needs a big week, and has gone T11-T12 in his last two starts at The Open and WGC FedEx St Jude International, indicating a flicker of form that he’ll be hoping to carry over to his debut at Sedgefield. Ranks 31st SG: Around the green.
Joaquinn Niemann: 45/1
Searching for his maiden win, and comes in to this year’s tournament with three top 10s in his last five starts, though he did skip last week after a MC at The Open. T33 on debut here last year. Ranks inside the top 30 for SG: Tee to green and SG: Approach.
