All the facts, figures and record-breaking feats from the final round of the 148th Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
ONE
Shane Lowry won by six shots to claim his first major win and the title of Champion Golfer of the Year. He’s the only man in history to win his first two PGA Tour titles in a major and WGC, and the fourth European in the last six years to win The Open.
TWO
A second-place finish for Tommy Fleetwood was the the second time he’s finished runner-up in a major championship (the other came at the 2018 US Open). He hit just eight greens in regulation at Portrush on Sunday, five fewer than he did in any other round.
FOUR
A tie for fourth meant Koepka became just the fourth player in the modern era to finish inside the top four in every major in a season.

Shane Lowry became the fifth player since 1960 to win the Irish Open and The Open, joining Rory, Seve, Sir Nick Faldo and Padraig Harrington.

Lowry is just the seventh player in the last century to win the Claret Jug by six strokes or more.

Paul Casey celebrated his 42nd birthday on Sunday, but had to little to shout about as he signed for a two-over 73 to finish on four over. Despite winning 16 times on the two top tours, he is now without a major win in 63 starts. His best finish was tied third at the 2010 Open at St Andrews.

A bogey-free, five-under 66 – the best of the final round – catapulted last year’s Open champion Francesco Molinari up 43 places and into a tie for 11th.

The worst round of the day belonged to J.B Holmes. One triple bogey, four double bogeys and six bogeys added up to a 16-over-par round, and left him fourth from last in a tie for 67th. It was also the highest final round score at an Open since 1966.

The number of days until the Masters begins. With the top four and ties at Portrush securing an invite to Augusta National next April, it means Lee Westwood will end a two-year absence from the Masters, a place where he has twice finished runner-up.
