Masters 2019: The best shots from Round 1

The best shots from Day 1 of the Masters: Two near aces, chips ins and more

The new coverage feature on Masters.com means you can track, and watch, virtually every single shot from the first round of the masters. But just in case you don’t want to troll through to find the best ones, we’ve put together a selection of the best from the opening day.

Bryson DeChambeau put on an impressive display over the closing three holes as he almost made his first ever hole in one on 16, chipped in on the 17th and was denied an eagle on the 18th by the pin – securing a tap in birdie for a share of the clubhouse lead.

And just after DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson also came close to holing out on the 16th on his way to a first round 67…

Patton Kizzire carded one of the nine eagles with this impressive chip in on the second hole during the opening round…

While Emiliano Grillo holed out from the bunker for a birdie on the 4th…

Rory McIlroy made this impressive putt from 35 feet…

And Ian Poulter stuck it close…

Finally… there was this ‘vintage Tiger’ shot from the trees, and the following putt to join the leaders at 3-under
