Bubba Watson WITB: WGC Dell Technologies Match Play

Bubba Watson overpowered the competiton, cruising to a 7&6 victory over Kevin Kisner in the final of the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play to win his 11th PGA Tour title.

It was the largest margin of victory in the championship final since 2008, and with it Bubba Watson became just the fifth player in history to become both a multiple major and multiple WGC champion.

Watson hit enormous drives and irons (including one that went 366 yards!) throughout the tournament, but it was an impressive putting display that sealed his latest victory. He ranekd 12th in the field in Strokes Gained: Putting (plus 5.641) using a custom carbon steel milled PING PLD Anser Prototype, which according to the PGA Tour, PING Tour rep Christian Penasaid it was originally made for Aaron Baddeley, but Watson liked the look and feel of the putter so much that he had one made to his specifications.

Watson started using the putter at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am but went back and forth with the loft, starting with 3.5 degrees at Pebble Beach before settling on 4.5 degrees at the Genesis Open. He also recently added more shaft lean at impact, which required additional loft to be added to the head.
