Jordan Spieth got off to the best start possible during the third round of the Open at Carnoustie, driving the 1st green and making the putt for eagle

The defending champion posted a six-under 65 during Saturday’s play to book his spot in the final group on Sunday at The Open for the second year running.

Spieth, who holds a share of the lead with Xander Schauffele and Kevin Kisner, will look to become the first player to successfully defend The Open since Padraig Harrington did it 10 years ago. 

And if he plays anything like he did during the third round, he’ll have a very good chance.
