Fantasy Golf: Turkish Airlines Open

The Turkish Airlines Open marks the first of three consecutive Rolex Series events leading up to the season-ending Race to Dubai – with 13 of the top 20 in this weeks field.

Tommy Fleetwood has his eyes on winning the Race to Dubai, but although second place Sergio Garcia isn’t in the field this week, newly crowned WGC HSBC Champions winner Justin Rose is – and he boosted himself up in to third spot with a win in Shanghai on Sunday.

This is the fourth edition of the Turkish Airlines Open, with last year’s champion Thorbjorn Olesen and two-time champion Victor Dubuisson both in the field at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort, Antalaya.

WIN: An outfit from Galvin Green worth over £500

No less than thirteen of the Race to Dubai’s top 20 are playing this week, and although notables such as Garcia, Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy are absent, it’s still going to be a tough contest in the 78-man contest.

Fantasy Picks: Turkish Airlines Open

Henrik Stenson: Fantasy Price £15m
Stenson couldn’t quite reach Rose last week, but still finished runner-up along with DJ and Brooks Koepka in his third start since his victory at the Wyndham Championship. Two top 10s and four further top 17s in his last seven starts.

Justin Rose: Fantasy Price £14.5m
Rose took advantage of a Dustin Johnson collapse and admitted he felt he ‘stole this one’ when he won his second WGC title last week – but we wouldn’t be surprised if he made it back-to-back wins. The World No.6 last five results? 1st-T10-T2-T10-T10.

Matt Fitzpatrick: Fantasy Price £11.5m
Fitzpatrick hasn’t finished worse than 15th in his last five starts, which includes a victory at the Omega European Masters and a T9 finish in Shanghai last week.

Tyrrell Hatton: Fantasy Price £13m
Hatton is in great form heading in to this event, having had two victories at the Dunhill and Italian Open, two more top 10s and a T11 in his last five starts. It might be a stretch for him to win three times in four events, but with the way he’s been playing we’re not going to bet against him.

Tommy Fleetwood: Fantasy Price £10.5m
The current leader of the Race to Dubai has won twice in 2017 and had seven top 10s. Comes in to this event following a T20 finish at last week’s WGC HSBC Champions, and a T6 at the Valderrama Masters the week before.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat: Fantasy Price £10m
Aphibarnrat had a great chance to win a few weeks ago, but made crucial errors on the final few holes of the Italian Open as Tyrrell Hatton claimed his second win in two weeks. He had another top 10 at the KLM Open a few weeks prior, and has had three other top 20 finishes in his last seven starts.

George Coetzee: Fantasy Price £9m
Three top 10s in his last five starts put Coetzee as a great pick to get in to contention this week. He finished T6 at the Italian Open, T7 at the Portugal Masters and T3 at the KLM Open, with a T15 at the British Masters and T47 at the Dunhill squeezed in between. Finished 5th here last year.

Peter Uihlein: Fantasy Price £6.5m
Uihlein hasn’t played on European soil since The Open, spending his time instead on winning his PGA Tour card with a victory at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship on the Web.Com Tour. He had a brilliant outing at his first WGC event since 2013 last week, finishing T5. A T10 at the CIMB Classic a couple of weeks before was his last previous result, so for a great fantasy price we think Uihelin is a great bet this week.

Eddie Pepperell: Fantasy Price £6m
Seriously good record heading here having found brilliant form in last two months. Three top 5s and two further top 10s in his last six starts – including back-to-back T3 finishes at the KLM Open and Portugal Masters. Hasn’t played this event since 2014, where he finished 10th.

Robert Rock: Fantasy Price £5.5m
The Englishman has had a very varied set of results, with five top 10s and four missed cuts in his last 12 results. However, he’s a great fantasy price and given that he finished T8 at the Valderrama Masters and T4 at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, we wouldn’t be suprised if he did well here.
