Tee times and groups as Nelly Korda goes for back-to-back women’s Olympic golf gold medals in Paris

The tee times and groups for the opening two rounds of the Women’s Olympic Golf Tournament at Le Golf National have been revealed as Team USA’s Nelly Korda aims to win back-to-back gold medals in Paris.

World No.1 and American superstar Korda will begin her gold medal defense by playing alongside Korea’s Jin Young Ko (Korea), and China’s Ruoning Yin for the first two rounds with the action getting underway on Wednesday.

The women’s event starts at 9am (8am GMT, 3am EDT) and Korda will look to follow in countryman and fellow World No.1 Scottie Scheffler’s footsteps by topping the podium. Scheffler flew through the men’s field with a Sunday 62 to add another honor to his incredible 2024 resume, securing Olympic gold ahead of Britain’s Tommy Fleetwood and Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama.

Nelly Korda won her fifth consecutive tournament at the first Major of the LPGA Tour Season

Korda has also enjoyed a memorable season in the women’s game having won five tournaments in a row, including her second career Major, earlier in the season. With the AIG Women’s Open and The Solheim Cup to come over the next six weeks, the 26-year-old sees Paris as the perfect opportunity to start another run and secure her second gold medal in two Olympic golf starts.

Rose Zhang and Lilia Vu will also represent USA as they seek a clean sweep of the podium places. Zhang plays alongside Australia’s Hannah Green and Britain’s Charley Hull. Hull and best friend Georgia Hall will aim to go one better than fellow Brit Fleetwood by topping the podium after 72 holes. Hall plays alongside Ireland’s big hope, Leona Maguire, and South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai, starting at 12.17pm.

Home fans expect much of their star player, Celine Boutier and she gets her challenge underway alongside fellow Major champions Vu and South Korea’s Amy Yang at 11:55am. Boutier’s teammate Perrine Delacour will hit the tournament’s opening tee shot at 9am.

Australia’s Minjee Lee will draw plenty of attention from the galleries and has been drawn alongside Japan’s Yuka Saso and Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand. They’re off at 11:44am.

Thirteen of the top 15 in the women’s world rankings are in action at Le Golf National, which is playing host to a major women’s competition for the first time.
