2024 British Open: Tee Times and groups for Sunday’s fourth round at Royal Troon

Tee times and pairings for the deciding round of the 152nd British Open Championship at Royal Troon.

It’s been a mixed bag at the British Open so far, with some big names missing the cut at Royal Troon, and players like Max Homa making last-minute birdies to continue their quest for the Claret Jug into the weekend.

The unexpected leader after round one was England’s Daniel Brown, whose incredible opening round of 65 put him one shot ahead of Ireland’s Shane Lowry.

Round two saw Lowry pull two shots ahead after a 2-under score of 69, with Brown carding a 1-over score of 72. This was more than enough to keep them both at the top of the leaderboard though, and they were drawn together for the final pairing at 3.45pm for Saturday’s third round. England’s Justin Rose also started the day on 5-under, paired with Billy Horschel for game 39, the second-to-last group.

Saturday’s third round got underway with Darren Fichardt and amateur Tommy Morrison teeing off at 8.55am, a much later start than the first two days of play. The first ace of the tournament came from Si Woo Kim on the 17th hole, and South Africa’s Thriston Lawrence carded a 6-under going out, giving him the lowest front-nine of the tournament so far.

The weather took a turn for the worse in the afternoon, with rain and wind gusts battering the players through until the end of the day. Scottie Scheffler carding a even par round to remain 2-under, and both Thriston Lawrence and Sam Burns ending up 6-under for the day was an incredible feat considering the conditions.

America’s Billy Horschel shot a 2-under par round, leaving him with a one shot lead going into the final day. Moving day truly did live up to it’s name, with Lowry dropping back to 1-under (after a +6 round) and Brown moving back to 3-under (after a +2 round). Horschel heads into Sunday’s round at 4-under, with Thriston Lawrence, Sam Burns, Russel Henley, Xander Schauffele, Justin Rose and Daniel Brown all sitting just one shot back on 3-under par.

Brown is paired with world number one Scheffler for the final round at 1.55pm, Lowry will head out with Adam Scott at 1.45pm, and leader Horschel tees off to try and claim the Claret jug at 2.25pm. Scotland’s Robert MacIntrye is drawn with his childhood hero, Phil Mickelson, for his final round.
