Vijay Singh has withdrawn from the 2025 Masters.

Masters week is but hours old and we have already had our first withdrawal.

Vijay Singh has pulled out of the Masters.

A memo was circulated on Monday morning that read: “Due to injury, Vijay Singh has informed the Competition Committees he will not play in the 2025 Masters Tournament.”

Singh played in the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational on the Champions Tour last week, where he finished in a tie for 18th at 1-under-par at Broken Sound.

The 62-year-old won the Masters in 2000 and, although he had an impressive run of five top-eight finishes from 2002, he couldn’t get over the line for another Green Jacket.

Singh also won two PGA Championships either side of his Augusta triumph.

It means the field for the 89th Masters will now be 95 players.
