How many holes-in-one have there been at the Masters Par 3 Contest? (And who had them?)
Last updated:

It’s the traditional prelude to the tournament proper, but how many Masters Par 3 Contest holes-in-one have there been? You’ll find the answer to that – and so much more – right here…
The Masters Par 3 Contest is a special affair. Players use it as an opportunity to fine-tune their short games ahead of the tournament proper, as well as showing off their jumpsuit-clad partners and offspring.
But how many holes-in-one have there been – and who had them?
The tournament within a tournament began in 1960, a year after Augusta National’s short course opened, and in that time, there have only been 15 years where no hole-in-one has been made – the last of which was way back in 1991.
That run extended at the 89th Masters (and 63rd Par 3 Contest) when Keegan Bradley dropped an ace at the 6th hole…
The Ryder Cup captain has become quite the ace this year – having had holes-in-one at both the Genesis Invitational and Players Championship.
Hole-in-one number two of the day came when Tom Hoge made it look easy on the 4th, spinning it back to the pin and getting his hands on some crystal.
And there was even time for one more as Brooks Koepka also dropped one in at the 6th hole.
The LIV star’s tee shot landed right by the pin and kicked towards the back of the green before rolling all the way back into the hole. Class.
Meanwhile, there have been a number of notable moments in the contest down the years. Who can forget when Tony Finau turned his ankle while celebrating? (That video’s here, but it’s not nice viewing.) And Jack Nicklaus counts his grandson, Gary Nicklaus Jr, having an ace during the event as one of his favorite Masters memories.
