How to get tickets to The Masters: Prices, packages, pro tips – and a top secret method
Last updated:
Getting into Augusta National isn’t easy – but it is possible. From official routes and ticket prices to hospitality packages and insider advice, here’s everything you need to know about scoring a golden ticket to The Masters – including a sneaky method that hardly anyone knows about…
If you’ve watched The Masters on TV and dreamed of walking the hallowed grounds of Augusta National, witnessing golf’s elite battle for the Green Jacket right in front of your eyes, you’re not alone. The Masters is one of the most sought-after tickets in sport, and getting your hands on one can feel like winning the lottery – because, well, it is.
Augusta doesn’t pack in as many fans as most top-tier sporting events, which is great for your viewing pleasure if you’re there, but it makes it even tougher to get the golden ticket as the supply is so limited.
Fear not, though. We’ve detailed how you can get tickets to the Masters (which are probably a lot cheaper than you might think), some guaranteed ways to get them if you don’t want to take your chances in the ballot, and uncovered a secret method that could bag your entry to Augusta for peanuts, while seeing you play some of the best golf courses in the UK.

The Golden ticket: Masters ballot
The primary way to secure a ticket to The Masters is through the official ticket lottery. Applications for the 2026 tournament are open from 1-20 June. If you’re fortunate enough to win, the prices are surprisingly reasonable.
Masters ticket prices:
- Practice rounds (Monday–Wednesday): $100 each
- Tournament days (Thursday–Sunday): $140 each
- Four-day tournament badge (Thursday-Sunday): $450
However, due to limited supply and crazy demand, the odds of being drawn in the ballot aren’t great, which is why many fans find themselves exploring alternative avenues.

Plan B: How to get Masters tickets if you didn’t win the ballot
If the lottery doesn’t go your way, all is not lost. Several reputable tour operators offer comprehensive Masters packages. These packages often include tickets, accommodation, hospitality, rounds of golf at top courses, and more. Here are some options (in no particular order):
1. Premier Golf
Premier Golf offers customizable packages that include tournament badges, hotels, and optional rounds at nearby courses. Prices vary based on preferences and availability but start at a smidge over $9,000.
2. Golf Breaks
UK-based operator Golf Breaks offer customized packages with a choice of hotel accommodation or a private home. Flights, car hire, and/or transfers can be added at your request.
3. Voyages.golf
This operator provides escorted tours with options for practice rounds, tournament days, and rounds of golf at local courses. Packages can be tailored to individual or group needs.
4. Sports & Entertainment Travel (SET)
SET offers a range of packages, from single-day badges to full-week experiences. For example, a three-night, land-only package starts at $11,799 per person, including accommodations and tournament badges.
5. Halcyon Golf Travel
A British-based operator, Halcyon offers a seven-night package with private home accommodations in Augusta, two rounds of golf, and two days at The Masters, priced at $10,995 per person.

Avoid the resale market
While it’s tempting to turn to secondary markets, be aware that Augusta National strictly prohibits the resale of tickets.
As the official site says:
“As a reminder, Augusta National, Inc. is the only authorized source/seller of Masters Tickets. The resale of any Masters Ticket is strictly prohibited. Holders of Tickets acquired from third parties, by whatever means, may be excluded from attendance to the Tournament.”
You’ll be fine with a reputable tour operator, though.

A little-known way to get Masters tickets
It sounds too good to be true, but you could be just two good rounds of golf away from securing Masters tickets.
It’s all thanks to a long-running amateur competition, known as the US Masters Texas Scramble, which is open to anyone who is a member of a golf club in England, Scotland, and Wales and holds an official WHS handicap.
97 Texas Scramble Qualifiers taking place across England, Scotland, and Wales throughout the summer – and there’s no limit on how many events you can enter.
Every qualifying event for the US Masters Texas Scramble has prizes for the top four teams, plus on-course competitions for longest drive, nearest the pin, and a par 3 sweep. Now for the good bit.
The team of four (in any combination) with the best strokeplay score over 18 holes from each qualifier will go through to contest one of two National Finals in September.
Win either of those and you and your mates will then fly off to Georgia for five nights the following April. B&B, car hire, and two rounds of golf are included, plus, most importantly, you get tickets to watch the Masters.
Entry fees for the qualifiers start from just £20 per person, which could work out as the cheapest Masters ticket in history!
