Cameron Smith has turned heads at the Masters… for rocking up in a JACKET
Last updated:
Has the competition for the best dressed golfer at Augusta already been won by Cameron Smith?
We know what you’re thinking. We haven’t seen Jason Day’s best effort yet. But we can’t imagine anyone else will be turning up at Augusta National in their Sunday best, with a Ripper GC logo on their jacket sleeve, a crocodile belt, and a wispy mustache and mullet combo.
Yes, Cameron Smith was that guy during Wednesday’s practice round at the Masters and did a pretty good job at pulling the look off, too.
The jacket is made by Greyson Clothiers, who fit the whole Ripper GC team, and comes in at a cool $500.
The Aussie – who has a pretty good record round these parts – will be hoping his week ends in a jacket of a different color…
As for Day, he couldn’t resist repping a pair of Payntr metallic silver shoes, which reminded me of a pair of Nike Vapor football boots I wore in the early 2000s.

He’s already had to change his scripting ahead of this week, on the say so of Augusta’s officials, so chances are this is just the start of his attempt to win golf’s fashion wars. Currently, though, he is playing catchup behind these brands and players, who are trying a few different looks in a bid to stand out from the crowd…

Akshay Bhatia and TravisMathew
So many brands have tried and failed to pull off the floral print design (we’re looking at you, J.Lindeberg and Viktor Hovland), but TravisMathew have seriously nailed it this year with this special edition Featherweight Magnolia polo, which features as part of their Favorite Time of Year vintage collection.
It blends in perfectly with Augusta’s surroundings and will be worn by Bhatia for the first time on Friday. You can shop the same look before it sells out (which it inevitably will) by clicking here.

Ludvig Aberg and Adidas
Sorry, Adidas, but I’m getting 1992 Norwich City vibes from that green and yellow ensemble for Friday’s round and not in a good way. Let’s hope Aberg makes it to Saturday, by which time he’ll be channeling his inner Arnie with a throwback Argyle printed quarter zip. Sunday’s trousers would also pair well with a Green Jacket, too.

Billy Horschel and Ralph Lauren
There are bold looks and then there’s what Billy Horschel will be attempting on not one, but two days during the competition proper. In truth, I’m not sure how he’s going to cope hitting driver with his Ralph Lauren sweater doubling as a scarf, but I can’t wait to see him try.
As for those yellow trousers on Thursday, he’s a braver man than I.

Viktor Hovland and J.Lindeberg
J.Lindeberg have really toned it down with their Masters Tour collection this year – and there’s not a floral print in sight. I actually really like the subtle pink palette, and I’m even coming round to the idea of that snazzy, spotty collar on Sunday’s white polo. Maybe Augusta had a word after last year’s effort.
