What is the best luxury car for a golfer?

What is the best luxury car for golfers? We’ve teamed up with Parkers.co.uk to find out.
We get asked what the best luxury car for a golfer is regularly. That’s why Today’s Golfer has partnered with Parkers – the definitive resource for car buying advice in the UK – to bring you the award for the Best Luxury Car in its prestigious New Car Awards 2024. We’re delighted to announce the BMW 7 Series saloon and its all-electric i7 counterpart as the joint winners.
To be a true luxury car, you need grace, pace, and space – and with so many brilliant cars available, we struggled to choose our winner. But we did, and the imposing BMWs offer masses of appeal for businesses, drivers, and, most importantly, the VIP and their luggage in the rear.
The BMW twins finished ahead of the Range Rover Sport, a fabulous car to drive with all the luxury of a full-fat Rangie, but at 8/10ths of the price, and the eye-popping BMW iX, which sets new standards of luxury and ability for an all-electric car.
Keith Adams, Parkers.co.uk Editor, said: “This is a luxury car that turns heads and despite its size is brilliant to drive. The all-electric i7 is the pinnacle of EVs currently on sale, while you’ll need to splash out on a Rolls-Royce or Bentley to find a more sumptuous luxury car than the hybrid 7 Series saloon.”
The winning cars have been tested rigorously by the Parkers.co.uk team, which judged the best luxury cars on a combination of comfort, design, quality, sheer ability to make you feel good, and fitness for purpose.
“In this year’s New Car Awards, we’re excited to have integrated electric cars (EVs) into the mainstream, as they’re becoming so popular. We’ve also picked a great selection of EVs, petrol, and hybrid winners across the board by taking what we know about what our users are viewing on Parkers,” he added.
Now in its seventh year, the Parkers New Car Awards 2024 reflects the constantly-evolving views of Britain’s car-buying public, with winners decided by a combination of the site’s expert reviewers’ verdicts in thousands of miles of road testing and the purchasing habits of the website’s 2.3 million users actively involved in the buying process.
More details about the Best Luxury Car award can be found alongside all of the winners in the Parkers New Car Awards 2024 on the Parkers website.
